Jabalpur, February 7, 2025: The Diocese of Jabalpur formally inaugurated the Jubilee Year of Hope on December 29, 2024, with an event at Ss. Peter and Paul Cathedral Church, Jabalpur. The celebration was presided over by His Eminence Valan Arasu, Bishop of Jabalpur Diocese. Several diocesan and religious priests, sisters from various congregations, brothers, and a large gathering of the faithful participated in the event.
The celebration commenced with an inaugural ceremony in front of St. Joseph Sr. Secondary School, Jabalpur, where the significance of the Jubilee Year was eloquently highlighted. This was followed by a reverent procession, during which the Mono and Banner of the Jubilee Year were carried with great devotion to the Cathedral Church. The procession was led by His Eminence Bishop Valan Arasu, with members of the clergy and the faithful participating with deep spiritual fervour.
Inside the cathedral, Bishop Arasu presided over a solemn celebration of the Holy Eucharist, which was concelebrated by several priests. The liturgy was marked by profound reverence and devotion and culminated in the recitation of the Jubilee Prayer.
With this grand inauguration, the Diocese of Jabalpur has set a spiritually enriching tone for the Jubilee Year of Hope 2025, ushering in a year dedicated to faith-centered initiatives, prayer, and community engagement.
