Goa, February 7, 2025: The World Dance Crew Workshop was held in Goa on January 28 and 30, bringing together over 60 Catholic youth for a dynamic and faith-filled dance experience. Organized by the Diocesan Youth Centre, Goa, in collaboration with the internationally renowned World Youth Dance Crew, the initiative aimed to showcase the use of dance as a medium for evangelization. The first workshop was held at the Diocesan Youth Centre in Margao on January 28, while the second workshop was held at the Church Hall of St. Jerome’s Parish in Mapusa on January 30.
The World Youth Dance Crew, known for their performances at World Youth Days in Lisbon and Panama before the Pope, as well as for collaborations with Fr. Rob Galea, brought their expertise and spiritual energy to the workshop. Participants engaged in dynamic dance sessions, learning how to integrate spirituality into their performances. The sessions provided participants with an opportunity to explore their creative talents while reinforcing the idea that dance can be a powerful tool to spread the message of faith.
During the workshop, Fr. Blaise Lobo, the director of the Diocesan Youth Centre, Goa, urged participants to step out of their comfort zones and embrace their hidden talents. "Dance is a powerful medium through which you can proclaim the good news and share your faith with others,” he said.
