Katni, Madhya Pradesh, 29 March 2025 - Mr. Clement Bouche has achieved an extraordinary feat—handwriting the entire New Testament at St. Paul’s Church, Civil Lines, Katni. This meticulous endeavour, spanning nearly three years, reflects his deep faith and commitment to the Scriptures.
Comprising around 700 pages and weighing 50 kilograms, the handwritten Bible measures 22 inches wide, 27 inches long, and 6 inches thick. Each carefully penned word embodies Bouche’s spiritual dedication.
The Bishop Valan Arasu of Jabalpur Diocese, blessed and unveiled the work, recognising the immense effort behind this remarkable achievement. The faith community warmly celebrated Bouche’s devotion.
In an age of digital access to Scripture, this handwritten New Testament serves as a powerful reminder that the Word of God is not only to be read but also cherished, meditated upon, and lived out daily. Bouche’s work stands as a lasting testament to faith and perseverance.
On behalf of the Diocese, the priests, religious, and laity of St. Paul’s Church, Civil Lines, Katni, extend their heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Clement Bouche and his family for this extraordinary accomplishment.
