Meghnagar, March 31, 2025 – The Catholic Diocese of Jhabua in Madhya Pradesh conducted a three-day spiritual retreat from March 29 to 31 at St. Arnold Church campus in Meghnagar. Held as part of the diocese's celebrations for the Jubilee Year 2025, the retreat, themed “Ashamaya Pilgrims”, provided an opportunity for approximately 5,000 devotees to deepen their faith, seek spiritual renewal, and embrace holiness. Led by distinguished preachers and clergy, the retreat featured sermons, prayer sessions, and Eucharistic celebrations.
The retreat commenced on March 29, drawing around 3,000 faithful from different regions of the diocese. The gathering resonated with devotion and divine grace as attendees immersed themselves in prayers, meditations, and scriptural reflections. Special emphasis was placed on spiritual purification through the precious blood of Jesus, guiding the faithful toward inner renewal and holiness.
During the three days of the retreat, renowned preachers delivered powerful sermons, focusing on the transformative power of God’s love and the significance of Jesus’ sacrifice. Devotional songs and prayer sessions enriched the spiritual atmosphere, while the Holy Eucharist remained the focal point of the retreat, offering moments of deep reflection and divine connection.
The retreat concluded on March 31 with a solemn closing ceremony led by Bishop Peter Rumal Kharadi, Bishop of Jhabua Diocese. During the ceremony, the bishop's inspiring words rekindled faith and devotion in the hearts of the participants. Fr. P. A. Thomas, Vicar General of Jhabua Diocese, delivered a thanksgiving address, expressing gratitude to God, the organisers, and the attendees for the retreat’s success. Special appreciation was extended to the preachers and volunteers whose efforts made the event spiritually enriching.
The three-day retreat marked a significant spiritual milestone for the diocese, fostering a deeper connection with faith and reinforcing the community’s commitment to holiness.
