Bareilly, October 24, 2025 — The Diocesan Youth Convention (DYC) 2025 concluded at Bishop Conrad School, Bareilly, after a gathering from October 21 to 23 that brought together 455 Catholic youth from every parish of the Diocese for an encounter of faith, leadership formation and fellowship.
More than 20 priests, animators and facilitators led sessions rooted in the convention’s theme, “Be a Witness,” which called young Catholics to actively live their faith in the Church and society with conviction and responsibility.
Dr. Tanu Jain, CEO of the Cantonment Board, Bareilly, was the chief guest and encouraged the youth to dream boldly, grow in values and seek support from family and faith communities. Fr. Royal Anthony, principal of Bishop Conrad School, served as guest of honour.
Key sessions, animated by nationally recognised youth leaders including Percival Holt, Shilpa Ekka and Goodwill John, addressed themes such as Christian identity, responsible citizenship, leadership, gender responsibility and the role of youth in society and the nation. The programme included workshops in music, theatre, digital media and arts as tools for evangelisation and social impact.
The convention featured opportunities for confession, adoration, counselling, cultural exchange and community fellowship. Ten outstanding youth were honoured for their professional achievements and inspiring witness.
