Mangalore, December 4, 2024: The Karnataka Region Catholic Bishops' Council (KRCBC) Commission for Family organized the highly anticipated launch event of a pioneering textbook on "Remote Preparation for Family Life" at the Shanthi Kiran Pastoral Centre, Mangalore on December 3. This significant occasion witnessed the unveiling of the new textbook, "Growing Joyfully," a comprehensive resource designed to empower future families with the knowledge and values necessary to thrive in today's complex world.
Mr. Leslie Arouza, Regional Secretary, provided a compelling overview of the textbook's content, its objectives and the innovative approach it takes toward family life education, emphasizing its relevance in the present-day context.
The highlight of the event was the official unveiling of the textbook by the Bishop Peter Paul Saldanha of Mangalore, who praised the meticulous effort and dedication that went into crafting this invaluable resource. In his address, Bishop Saldanha underscored the critical importance of family life education, especially in today’s fast-evolving social landscape, where strong, healthy family units are more essential than ever.
