Chotanagpur Youth Lenten Retreat Held at SVD Seminary, Raia, Goa

Goa, April 1, 2025: The Chotanagpur Youth Group Goa’s annual Lenten Retreat, organised by Arnold Seva Kendra (ASK, Goa) in collaboration with the youth group, took place at the SVD Seminary in Raia, Goa, offering a spiritually enriching experience.

The retreat opened with an energetic praise and worship session led by Fr. Cranston Vaz, SVD, followed by uplifting animation songs conducted by Fr. Michael Pereira, SVD. These dynamic sessions set a vibrant tone for the retreat, encouraging participants to engage in deep spiritual reflection.

Fr. Anthony Soreng OP and Fr. Suman Indwar SFX delivered two impactful sessions, titled “Life and Living for God” and “The Need to Return to God,” which inspired the youth to renew their faith and strengthen their commitment to God. A highlight of the retreat was the sacrament of Confession, where attendees experienced the profound mercy and forgiveness of God.

The youth also participated in the Way of the Cross on the mountain at the SVD Seminary, prayerfully reflecting on Jesus’ journey with the cross. This solemn journey culminated in a deeply moving Eucharistic celebration on the mountain, presided over by Fr. Anthony, fostering an atmosphere of reverence.

The retreat ended with a special adoration session, allowing the youth to spend time in silent prayer before the Blessed Sacrament.
