Indore, Madhya Pradesh, October 5, 2025: A wave of faith, unity, and devotion swept through Indore as over 4,000 devotees and clergy from across North India came together for the 14th Holy Bible Mahotsav — a three-day festival of prayer, worship, and renewal. The event, held under the theme “Hope of sharing the glory of God,” celebrated the enduring power of Scripture and community, leaving the Diocese spiritually enriched and strengthened in mission.
Bishop Thomas Mathew inaugurated the festival by releasing a rosary of balloons, symbolizing prayer and surrender. A solemn procession, accompanied by devotional dance and led by parish women carrying the statue of Mother Mary and the Holy Bible, set the tone for the days of reflection and praise that followed.
Central to the Mahotsav was the ministry of Fr. Yesudas VC and his team from the Divine Retreat Centre Dumka. Through his inspiring preaching and testimony, Fr. Yesudas urged the faithful to rediscover the transformative strength of Scripture, to persevere in faith, and to live out holiness in everyday life. His teachings on faith, confession, sacramental devotion, and the Christian understanding of suffering deeply moved the participants, many of whom shared personal experiences of healing and renewal.
The Diocese also honoured individuals who had transcribed the Holy Gospels, recognizing their humble contribution to preserving and spreading the Word of God. The convention’s success was made possible by the tireless service of nearly 350 volunteers working across 23 committees, ensuring smooth coordination and an atmosphere of grace throughout.
Special programs for children, organized under the banner “Kairos,” introduced younger participants to the faith through creative and engaging activities. The Mahotsav concluded with a solemn Eucharistic celebration, academic felicitations, and a powerful Adoration and Healing Prayer that unified the gathering in thanksgiving and hope.
Gratitude was expressed to Bishop Thomas Mathew, Fr. Preetam Vasuniya, and the organizing committee for their leadership and commitment. The 14th Holy Bible Mahotsav stood as a vibrant testimony of faith in action — a reminder that those who trust in the Lord will never be put to shame.
