Bible Camp Inspires 232 Children to Deepen Faith in Rajanagar

Arunachal Pradesh, October 5, 2025: A three-day Bible camp organised at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Rajanagar, East Arunachal Pradesh, drew 232 children together for a transformative faith experience aimed at deepening their understanding of Scripture and strengthening their relationship with Christ.

Held from 28 to 30 September at the Don Bosco School Hall, the camp revolved around the theme “Know Christ and Be with Christ.” Students from Classes 4 to 10 representing all parish sub-stations participated in a variety of spiritual and educational activities designed to make the Word of God alive and relevant in their daily lives.

The camp was organised by the Sisters of Mary Immaculate (SMI) with the support of catechism teachers and Salesian collaborators from Tinsukia Parish. It began with a solemn procession and the veneration of the Bible, setting a tone of reverence and devotion for the entire programme. Throughout the camp, children attended engaging sessions on the Old and New Testaments, participated in creative workshops, skits based on Gospel parables, faith-sharing group discussions, and interactive learning activities that helped them appreciate the importance of Scripture, confession, and regular catechism.

Fr. Linus, Rector of Miao Minor Seminary, celebrated the concluding Mass, urging the young participants to live out their Christian faith with enthusiasm and to continue nurturing their spiritual growth through the Word of God.

The organisers extended their gratitude to Parish Priest Fr. Joseph Kindo and Don Bosco School Principal Fr Paul Panmei SDB for their guidance and encouragement. Their leadership, along with the dedication of the SMI Sisters and catechism teachers, ensured the camp’s success.

Blending prayer, learning, and creativity, the Rajanagar Bible Camp served as a meaningful platform for children to encounter Christ more deeply and to embrace the joy of living their faith in everyday life.
