Radio Veritas Asia Announces Laudato Si’ Film Competition

Manila, October 14, 2025: Radio Veritas Asia (RVA) has announced a Mega International Short Film-Making Competition on 14 October to mark the 10th anniversary of Laudato Si’, themed “Environmental Advocacy in Asia: Translating the Vision of Laudato Si’ into Care for Our Common Home.” The competition, hosted by RVA, encourages short films promoting environmental care. Entries are due by 11th November , with winners announced on 10th December.

RVA invites filmmakers, storytellers, and organisations to create 3–5-minute films in Full HD (MP4 or MOV) with English or subtitled narration, accompanied by a high-resolution poster. The competition, open to one entry per participant or group, will be judged on creativity, originality, technical quality, thematic relevance, and impact. RVA encourages sharing the contest to amplify Laudato Si’’s call for planetary care.

Prizes include USD 1,000 for first, USD 800 for second, USD 500 for third, and USD 100 for ten finalists, with certificates for all qualifiers. Entries must be submitted by 10 November 2025
