Pre-RYC Meeting Held in Ballari, Karnataka Sets Stage for Yuvajanostava 2025

Ballari, Karnataka, August 18, 2025 – The Karnataka Regional Youth Commission (KRYC) convened the Pre-Regional Youth Convention (Pre-RYC) meeting at St. Antony’s Community Hall, Ballari, in preparation for the upcoming Regional Youth Convention scheduled to take place in Karwar from 2–5 October 2025.

The gathering brought together 35 members and was graced by KRYC Chairman Bishop Dr. Henry D’Souza, Regional Youth Director Fr. Ashwin Cardoza, and KRYC Coordinator Ms. Vileena Gonsalves.

The day commenced with breakfast, followed by the formal inaugural session in the morning. The programme opened with a prayer led by the choir, scripture reading, and a reflection delivered by Fr. Paul Moras, Director of St. Antony’s Community Hall. A warm welcome was extended to the participants, after which Dean Fr. Leo Michael, Vicar General Fr. D. Vincent, and Bishop D’Souza shared their messages of encouragement.

Proceedings continued with updates on the 13th Yuvajanostava 2025, presented by KRYC Coordinator Ms. Gonsalves. Committee representatives reported on their preparations and sought feedback and contributions from dioceses and youth movements to enrich the event.

Highlighting the host diocese’s role, Fr. Silvan, the Diocesan Youth Director of Karwar, presented detailed plans and outlined Karwar’s contributions towards the convention. His presentation underscored the commitment of the diocese in ensuring the success of the gathering.

The meeting concluded in the evening, wrapping up a day of meaningful discussions and collaborative planning. Participants left with renewed enthusiasm, strengthened by the collective insights and ideas exchanged, all directed towards making Yuvajanostava 2025 a memorable and impactful youth convention.
