Kerala Latin Catholic Church Condemns Education Minister’s Response to Uniform Row

Kochi, October 15, 2025: The Kerala Latin Catholic Church (KRLCC) has condemned the Education Minister’s reaction to the uniform dispute at Palluruthy St. Rita’s School as irresponsible and illegal. The statement, issued , questions the Minister’s motives despite clear High Court directives on the matter.

The KRLCC alleges that the Minister’s intervention in a resolved issue risks disrupting school operations and unsettling the local peace. The High Court has upheld the management’s authority to decide and enforce uniform policies, directing the police to provide necessary protection, yet the Minister’s stance remains contentious.

KRLCC Vice President Joseph Jude and General Secretary Fr. Jiju George Arakathara criticised the government’s ongoing infringement on Christian minority rights as unjust and unacceptable. They warned that political parties exploiting such issues for gains pursue dangerous agendas.
