The two-hour event, from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm, witnessed an atmosphere of joy, unity, and shared spirituality.
Organised by Brahma Kumaris R S Palya, Kammanahalli, the gathering was attended by religious leaders from different traditions, with Fr. Vinay Kumar, Secretary of the Karnataka Interreligious Dialogue Commission, gracing the occasion and felicitating the organisers.
In his address, Fr. Kumar stressed the importance of inclusivity and accommodation in society. Cultural performances and interfaith interactions enriched the celebration, with Raksha Bandhan’s symbolism of protection and Janmashtami’s message of devotion and divine love blending seamlessly to highlight universal values.
The joint observance was welcomed by attendees as a remarkable step in advancing interfaith dialogue and understanding in the city. The presence of leaders from various faith backgrounds underscored the importance of cooperation and mutual appreciation in addressing the challenges of modern society.
By marking two festivals of spiritual depth side by side, the celebration highlighted the transformative power of unity in diversity. For the Brahma Kumaris and their partners, the event reflected their continuing mission to create spaces where dialogue and harmony flourish.
