Daltonganj Diocese in Jharkhand Hosts Leadership Training Programme for Youth Leaders

DALTONGANJ, Jharkhand, April 4, 2025 – The Catholic Diocese of Daltonganj conducted its Leadership Training Programme 2025 at Sadhna Sadan Chiyanki, Daltonganj, from March 28 to March 31, 2025. The event brought together 123 youth leaders and 14 animators from across the diocese for an intensive programme designed to enhance their leadership skills and foster spiritual growth.


During the four days of the event, eminent speakers, including Bishop Theodore Mascarenhas SFX (Daltonganj Diocese), Bishop Linus Pekka (Gumla Diocese), Ms. Vandana Dadel, IAS, Mr. Dilip Tirkey, Mr. Kuldeep Tirkey, Ms. Daisy Panna, Mr. Deepak Albert, and Fr. Suman Minj, addressed the participants. Their thought-provoking sessions focused on faith-based leadership, discipline, and perseverance, encouraging young leaders to take charge of their personal and spiritual journeys.


A key highlight of the event was Bishop Theodore Mascarenhas’ address, where he outlined four essential leadership principles:


- Attitude – Cultivating a positive and determined mindset to overcome challenges.


- Timeline – Practicing effective time management and goal-setting as pillars of success.


- Determination – Demonstrating commitment and persistence in achieving one’s mission.


- Keeping the Fire Burning – Sustaining passion and motivation to inspire others.


The programme proved to be a transformative experience, equipping participants with the skills needed to become responsible and visionary leaders within their communities. The event concluded on a high note, with the participants developing renewed enthusiasm and a shared commitment to applying the leadership lessons they learnt in their future endeavors.
