St. Joseph Church, Arunachal Pradesh, Celebrates Confirmation of 250 Faithful

Rajanagar, March 19, 2025: In a remarkable display of faith and devotion, 250 faithful received the Sacrament of Confirmation at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Don Bosco Rajanagar, coinciding with the parish feast. The celebration was presided over by Bishop George Pallipparambil SDB, who conferred the sacrament. 

The Eucharistic celebration began with a solemn procession of over 700 people, including the candidates for Confirmation. Bishop Pallipparambil was joined by Fr. Kindo Joseph SDB, the parish priest, who also celebrated his name feast. 

In his homily, Bishop Pallipparambil highlighted the significance of Confirmation, explaining how it strengthens the faithful with the gifts of the Holy Spirit. He also spoke about the Jubilee Year, encouraging the community to embrace the spiritual graces associated with the Jubilee Cross. 

Additionally, he stressed the need to promote catechesis in indigenous languages alongside Hindi ensuring that the teachings of the Church resonate deeply with local communities. Other priests in attendance included Fr. Regi Mani SDB, Rector of Don Bosco Bordumsa; Fr. Paul Panmei SDB, Principal; Fr. Amalraj SDB; and Fr. Michael Lugun SDB. 

St. Joseph Catholic Church resonated with worship, prayer, and fellowship in a meaningful faith celebration.
