Vatican City, 25 February, 2025— Pope Francis’ health has shown slight improvement, but doctors have not changed their prognosis due to the complexity of his condition, the Vatican announced.
“The Holy Father's clinical condition, despite its severity, has shown a slight improvement,” the statement confirmed. The Pope experienced no episodes of asthmatic respiratory crisis today, and some laboratory test results have improved. While mild renal failure remains under observation, doctors consider it non-concerning. Oxygen therapy continues, though with slightly reduced flows and oxygen concentration.
Despite his condition, Pope Francis remained active. In the morning, he received the Eucharist, and in the afternoon, he resumed his work. In the evening, he personally called the pastor of Gaza Parish to express his fatherly support.
The Pope also expressed gratitude to the faithful who have been praying for his recovery in recent days.
