Dabra, Madhya Pradesh, October 31, 2025: Responding to Pope Francis’ invitation to journey in faith during the Jubilee Year of Hope, the Diocese of Gwalior brought together its faithful for “Pilgrims Milan 2025” — a heartfelt day of thanksgiving, reflection, and fellowship held at the Infant Jesus Multipurpose Center, Dabra.
Organized under the leadership Fr. Sanu Alunkal and Fr. Akash, the event was a reunion of pilgrims who had earlier journeyed to holy destinations including the Holy Land, Velankanni, Potta Retreat Centre, and Goa as part of the diocesan Jubilee pilgrimage initiative coordinated by the Gwalior Dhwani Media and Communications Team.
The day began with Eucharistic Adoration, where pilgrims united in gratitude to the Lord for His protection and grace throughout their spiritual journeys. This was followed by a sharing session, during which participants joyfully recounted their experiences of faith, healing, and renewal encountered during their pilgrimages.
The highlight of the celebration was the Holy Eucharist, presided over by Bishop Joseph Thykkattil of Gwalior, and concelebrated by diocesan priests. In his homily, Bishop Thykkattil reflected on the spiritual meaning of pilgrimage, reminding the faithful that “every Christian life is, in itself, a pilgrimage toward the Heavenly Jerusalem — a journey of faith, perseverance, and hope.”
After the Mass, the atmosphere turned festive with moments of fellowship and light-hearted celebration. Participants enjoyed an agape meal, followed by fun-filled games that fostered joy and togetherness among the pilgrims. Prizes were distributed to winners, adding smiles to the spiritual gathering.
“Pilgrims Milan 2025” stood as a beautiful culmination of the diocesan Jubilee pilgrimages — a moment where gratitude met communion, and the faithful of Gwalior renewed their commitment to continue journeying together in faith, hope, and joy toward the ultimate pilgrimage of eternal life.
