KRLCC Pays Tribute to V.S. Achuthanandan, Hails Him as a Beloved Mass Leader

Kerala, July 22, 2025: The Kerala Latin Catholic Council (KRLCC) paid tribute to Velikkakathu Sankaran Achuthanandan, stating that he was a mass leader who secured an irreplaceable place in the hearts of the people. One of the last links among value-driven politicians has now drawn the final curtain with his passing on 21 July 2025.

Achuthanandan consistently stood firm, without making the slightest compromise, for the development of marginalised communities, including workers. He was always prepared to challenge any restriction that hindered his convictions and vision.

His resolute stances on environmental protection and his opposition to land mafias and corporate exploitation are part of history. Achuthanandan became an MLA and Chief Minister not merely by aligning with party directives, but by prioritising the welfare of the common people. KRLCC noted that he will continue to be remembered as a remarkable figure in Kerala’s history of social advancement.
