JAIPUR, July 22, 2025 — The Jaipur Nurses Ministry organised a spiritually enriching Formation Programme for Nurses on Saturday, 19 July, at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Annunciation, Malviya Nagar, under the Diocese of Jaipur. Around 50 nurses from various parishes across the city participated in the day-long programme designed to nurture their faith and commitment to service.
A solemn Holy Mass was celebrated by the ministry's Spiritual Director, Fr. Kishore D’Souza. Fr. Melwin D’Souza, the Cathedral’s Parish Priest, served as the co-celebrant and delivered an inspiring homily that resonated deeply with the gathering. Several priests graced the event with their presence throughout the day, including Fr. Paul Pulickal, Fr. Siby Mathew, Fr. Moorthilal, alongside Frs. Melwin and Kishore D’Souza.
Brother Josemon, visiting from the UAE, led a compelling spiritual session on the theme Living with Hope. His reflections offered strength and encouragement to the attendees, many of whom serve in challenging healthcare environments.
Mrs. Annie Paul—a nurse and active member of the nurses' ministry from the UAE—conducted a practical session drawing from her professional and faith-based experiences. Her insights offered valuable guidance for integrating spirituality into daily nursing service.
The programme culminated in a solemn Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, marking a spiritually profound close to the day. In a significant moment for the ministry’s growth, two new members were formally welcomed into the team during the concluding session.
The Jaipur Nurses Ministry lifted heartfelt prayers for nurses everywhere, entrusting their noble and selfless vocation to God's care, that they may continue to be instruments of healing, compassion, and hope in the world.
