KCYM Pottakuzhy Unit, Kerala Distributes Food Kits to Families Affected by Sea Erosion

Verapoly, Kerala, July 10, 2025 : As part of the Archdiocese of Verapoly’s Subhiksham project, the KCYM Pottakuzhy Unit has successfully distributed food kits containing rice and other essential items to around 30 families impacted by sea erosion in the Kannamaly-Chellanam region.

The food kits were formally handed over by Pottakuzhy Unit President, Mr. Alan Antony, to Fr. Renil Thomas Ittikkunnath, Assistant Vicar of Pottakuzhy Parish, in the presence of executives from the Archdiocese of Verapoly.

Also attending the event were Archdiocese of Verapoly General Secretary Ms. Rose Mary K.J., Treasurer Mr. Joyson P.J., Vice President Mr. Vinoj Varghese, Secretary Mr. Arun Sebastian, Kaloor Region President Mr. Amal George, Pottakuzhy Unit Animator Mr. Jose Peter, Unit Secretary Ms Anna Teresa Sharon, Joint Secretary Ms. Ann Mary, Socio-Political Forum Convener Mr. Tibin Joseph, and Women’s Forum Convener Ms. Snehitha Antony.

Later, Mr. Tibin Joseph, Socio-Political Forum Convener of KCYM Pottakuzhy Unit, handed over additional food kits to Fr. Sebastian Valiyaveettil, Assistant Vicar of St. Francis Xavier Church, Kandakadavu, under the Diocese of Alleppey.
