Amravati, December 23, 2025 — As part of Christmas relief efforts, blankets and essential food materials were distributed to underprivileged families in Amravati and Akola through an outreach programme organised by the Diocese of Amravati.

The initiative was carried out under the leadership of Bishop Malcolm Sequeira, Bishop of Amravati, as part of the Diocese’s Christmas charitable activities. In Amravati, the distribution was coordinated by Fr. Onil Gonsalves, Finance Administrator of the Diocese, with the support of diocesan staff and volunteers.

The outreach was also extended to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Akola, where grocery packets were distributed to needy families. The programme was led by Fr. Joselin Pancras, Parish Priest, with the support of Fr. Subhash and members of the Parish Pastoral Council.

The Christmas outreach aimed to provide seasonal relief to vulnerable families across the Diocese.
