Cardinal Filipe Neri and Bishop Simião Launch New Directory of the Archdiocese of Goa and Daman

Goa, 1 September 2025: The Annual Directory 2025–2026 of the Archdiocese of Goa and Daman was released on Thursday, 21 August, on the occasion of the feast of St. Pius X. The launch was led by Archbishop Patriarch Filipe Neri Cardinal Ferrão, Archbishop of Goa and Daman, and Bishop Simião Fernandes, Auxiliary Bishop, at the Archbishop’s House.

The launch was attended by Fr. Barry Cardozo, Director of the Diocesan Centre for Social Communications Media; Fr. Joaquim Loiola Pereira, Secretary to the Archbishop; Sr. Rita Frois (hc); and communication centre staff members Ms. Janet Barcellos and Mr. Romualdo Fernandes.

The Directory provides comprehensive information about the Church in Goa, covering parishes across Goa and Daman—which includes the Union Territories of Daman, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, and Diu—alongside institutes of religious women and men, educational institutions, technical schools, and various other services offered by the Archdiocese to society.

Copies of the Directory will be available from next week at the Lighthouse in Margao, Pauline Book and Media Centres in Panjim and Mapusa, the Pastoral Institute in Old Goa, and the Archbishop’s House, Altinho, Panjim.

Published by the Diocesan Centre for Social Communications Media, the Directory aims to connect the Archdiocese by providing important contact details. The Centre continues to work in diverse ways to foster connections, build relationships, and promote media empowerment within the Archdiocese, and looks forward to offering its services in this field.
