Bishop Rayarala Vijaya Kumar Urges Boarding Children to Live as ‘Light of the World’ at Christmas Meet

Srikakulam, December 23, 2025: Bishop Rayarala Vijaya Kumar of Srikakulam Diocese called on boarding children from Catholic institutions to grow in faith, discipline and social responsibility, saying that living the values of Christ is essential to becoming a positive force in society.

Addressing the diocesan Christmas celebration organised for boarding children, the bishop reflected on Jesus as the Light of the World and urged the students to allow that light to guide their personal conduct, studies and relationships. He stressed that faith must translate into responsible living and service to others.

The programme brought together children from various diocesan boarding institutions and included cultural presentations and sports activities. Christmas gifts were distributed to all participants, followed by a common meal, marking the conclusion of the celebration.
