Archdiocese of Bhopal Felicitates Meritorious Students

Bhopal, August 18, 2025: The Archdiocese of Bhopal organised a grand felicitation ceremony for meritorious students under the banner “Khoob Padho, Aage Badho – खूब पढ़ो आगे बढ़ो 2025” on 17 August 2025 at St. Joseph’s Co-Ed School, Arera Colony, Bhopal.

The event, which commenced in evening, was presided over by A.A.S. Durairaj SVD, Archbishop of Bhopal. The ceremony celebrated 12 outstanding students who excelled in CBSE, ICSE, and MP Board examinations this year. The initiative aimed to recognise academic achievement while motivating students to pursue higher goals with dedication and perseverance.

Archbishop’s Address

In his motivational speech, Archbishop Durairaj stressed the value of perseverance and the pursuit of excellence. He urged students to approach education not as a mere obligation but as an enriching journey of acquiring knowledge. He described knowledge as a lifelong treasure that guides individuals through every stage of life.

The Archbishop congratulated the awardees and expressed appreciation for the vital role played by parents and school administrators in nurturing the students’ success.

Purpose of the Initiative

Fr. Alfred D’Souza, PRO of the Archdiocese, highlighted that the initiative seeks to identify, honour, and inspire academic talent among children. He noted that, like every year, the Archdiocese celebrated meritorious students for their remarkable achievements. He affirmed that the Archdiocese remains committed to supporting young talent through such programmes in the future.

The ceremony included the distribution of certificates and awards to high-achieving students, acknowledging their hard work and bringing pride to their schools and the Archdiocese.
