Bhopal, February 3, 2025: The Annual Feast of the Shrine of Infant Jesus, located in Infant Nagar, Bhopal, was celebrated with great fervor on February 2, 2025. The event marked the culmination of a nine-day novena, which commenced on January 24, 2025, with His Grace Archbishop A.A.S. Durairaj SVD hoisting the ceremonial flag.
Throughout the nine days of novena, members of the faithful participated in novena prayers, the Rosary, and Holy Mass with deep devotion. On the ninth day, a solemn procession was held, where the Palkis of Infant Jesus, Mother Mary, and St. Joseph were carried with great reverence, accompanied by hymns and prayers.
The feast day celebrations began with the Holy Mass, presided over by Most Rev. Gerald Almeida, Bishop Emeritus of Jabalpur. In his inspiring homily, Bishop Almeida emphasized the importance of loving God through the observance of His commandments. He also encouraged the faithful to support and promote priestly and religious vocations.
To mark the occasion with an act of charity, the St. Vincent De Paul Society donated an auto rickshaw to a needy family, bringing them hope and assistance in their livelihood.
The event was meticulously organized by Fr. John Benito, Rector and Parish Priest of Infant Jesus Shrine, with the assistance of Fr. Ashok, Deacon Namit Tigga, and the parish council members. Their dedicated efforts ensured the smooth conduct of the celebrations, allowing the faithful to experience the blessings and grace of Infant Jesus. The feast attracted a large number of devotees who participated wholeheartedly in the celebrations and returned home strengthened in faith and blessed by the grace of Infant Jesus.
