Amravati Diocese Highlights Women's Health and Spiritual Unity on Women's Day

Amravati, 12 March 2025 — The Women's Commission of Amravati Diocese, in collaboration with the Jubilee Committee, organised an inspiring Women's Day celebration at Dnyanmata School Hall, Amravati, on 9 March 2025. The event, themed "Hope: Pilgrims Journeying Together," brought together 139 women from 20 parishes.

A key highlight of the event was a health awareness programme led by Dr. Sr. Rachita FCC and Dr. Manjushree Bubh, who provided valuable insights into women's health and holistic well-being. Dr. Sr. Rachita emphasised the importance of early detection and prevention of common cancers among women, while Dr. Manjushree highlighted the need for physical, mental, social, and spiritual well-being.

Rt. Rev. Malcolm Sequeira, Bishop of Amravati Diocese, reflected on women's vital role in families and communities, encouraging them to journey together in faith and unity. He commended the organisers for creating a meaningful and impactful event.

An interactive group activity on five Biblical women saints engaged participants, who brought to life their courage, faith, and inspiring qualities through dynamic enactments.

The celebration fostered a joyful and uplifting atmosphere, leaving participants enriched with valuable insights, spiritual encouragement, and a strengthened sense of community.
