Indore, Madhya Pradesh, August 27, 2025: The Malwa Cooperative Credit Society marked its Annual General Meeting on Sunday at the I.D.S.S. Hall, celebrating its 31 years of service as it steps into its 32nd year.
The meeting was graced by the Indore Diocese’s Bishop, Bishop Thomas Mathew, who served as the chief guest. In his address, Bishop Mathew lauded the Society’s contributions, expressing his pride in being personally associated with it as a member. He emphasised that the institution’s growth reflects its commitment to the welfare of its members.
Mr. Joshua Philips conducted the proceedings of the meeting with precision and clarity.
Society President Mr. Richard Peter made a series of announcements for the benefit of members. Each was warmly welcomed and endorsed with applause from the assembled audience, reflecting the strong confidence in the Society’s leadership.
The Society’s financial accounts were then presented by members of the managing committee. These were approved unanimously by the assembly through a voice vote, further underlining the transparency and trust the institution enjoys among its stakeholders.
Recognising academic excellence, the Society honoured meritorious students from among its members’ families with awards. This gesture drew appreciation from the gathering and highlighted the organisation’s encouragement of educational achievement alongside financial support.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. Amina Tirkey, who expressed gratitude on behalf of the Society to all those present, including the dignitaries, members, and organisers. The session ended with a fellowship meal, reinforcing the spirit of community and solidarity that has sustained the Society for more than three decades.
