Jhabua, January 26, 2025 - The Catholic Diocese of Jhabua officially launched its Jubilee 2025 celebrations with a solemn ceremony at the Cathedral Church on Sunday. The event began with the blessing of the Jubilee Cross by His Excellency Bishop Peter Kharadi, followed by an explanation of the Jubilee year's significance by Rev. Fr. Thomas Kennedy to a large gathering of priests, sisters, and lay faithful.
A vibrant procession carrying the Jubilee Cross from the school campus to the Cathedral Church marked the highlight of the event. The cross, which will journey to all parishes within the diocese as part of the celebrations, was later placed near the altar at the Cathedral.
The Holy Mass, presided over by Bishop Kharadi and concelebrated by Vicar General Rev. Fr. P.A. Thomas and Diocesan Secretary Rev. Fr. Sylvester Meda, served as a spiritual cornerstone of the day. Bishop Kharadi reflected on the Jubilee's importance as a time for renewal and gratitude, while Rev. Fr. P.A. Thomas encouraged the faithful to deepen their understanding of God's will and His word.
The occasion also marked the anniversary of Bishop Peter Kharadi’s installation as Bishop of Jhabua, prompting warm congratulations from the diocesan community. The event concluded with a thanksgiving prayer led by Rev. Fr. Antony Katara, expressing gratitude for the blessings of the Jubilee year and the leadership of Bishop Kharadi.
The day’s celebrations set a tone of unity, reflection, and anticipation as the diocese prepares for a year of spiritual renewal and grace.
