ICYM Bangalore Hosts 'Dust to Glory' Lenten Retreat, Inspires Youth Through Faith and Creativity

Bangalore, 8 April 2025: The Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) of the Archdiocese of Bangalore organised a one-day Lenten retreat titled Dust to Glory on 6 April 2025 at Guru Yesu Bhavan, in collaboration with the Pious Disciples of the Divine Master. The event drew youth from across the archdiocese for a day centred on spiritual reflection, community bonding, and creative expression.

A reflective session explored the spiritual meaning behind Dust to Glory, followed by an insightful discussion on the nature of sin and personal transformation. Participants then joined in a reverent Holy Eucharistic celebration, deepening their connection to the faith.

The retreat fostered an atmosphere of joyful interaction through icebreaker activities, action songs, and a group engagement segment that energised the gathering. A standout moment was the pottery workshop, where attendees explored the symbolic connection between clay and creation while crafting their own pottery pieces to take home.

ICYM Archdiocese of Bangalore expressed gratitude to the Pious Disciples of the Divine Master for their partnership and reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing the faith of young Catholics through dynamic and meaningful programmes.

The retreat offered young Catholics a meaningful space to grow in faith, community, and creative expression during the Lenten season.
