Happy Father’s Day, Abba Father: The Heartbeat of Unfailing Love

June 15, 2025: The One who formed you, sees you, and calls you His own—even when you forget to call Him anything at all. This Father’s Day, let us pause for a moment—not to reach for Him, but to realise He’s already there. Not just as your Creator…but as your Abba Father.

Even Before You Called Him God, He Called You 'My Child'

Before your first cry, before your first thought—He already knew you.

Psalm 139 says He “knit you together in your mother’s womb.”

Not rushed. Not random. But tenderly, purposefully—like a Father preparing the heart of someone He couldn’t wait to love.

Every strand of your being was woven by His hands. Your story began in His heart, not just in a hospital room.

You’re not just a believer. You’re a beloved child.

He’s Not Just “God”—He’s Abba Father

Have you ever whispered a prayer, not knowing what to say—just hoping someone out there was listening?

In moments like that, Jesus gives us a word of closeness: Abba Father.

It’s not a title. It’s what a child says with trust—like “Papa” or “Dad.”

Before the cross, in His agony, Jesus cried out, “Abba, Father… not what I will, but what you will” (Mark 14:36).

And the miracle? He invites you to use the same word.

Not just “Lord,” not just “Almighty,” but Abba—intimate, personal, safe.

He Sees You Before You Ask

Ever wondered, Does God really care about the small things in my life?

Jesus answered: “Your Father knows what you need before you ask” (Matthew 6:8).

Abba notices the sigh you don’t speak aloud.

He sees the heaviness in your chest when you wake up.

Like a father quietly preparing breakfast before his child wakes, Abba provides—before you even know to ask.

He Runs Toward You, Not Away

If you've ever felt too far gone for God—hear this: Abba runs toward you.

In Luke 15, the prodigal son comes home dirty, ashamed and broken. But the father doesn’t wait inside with folded arms.

He runs. He embraces. He throws a celebration.

That’s how Abba welcomes you. Not with a list of wrongs, but with open arms and joy that you're home.

His Love Corrects, Not Condemns

Life’s painful seasons can feel like punishment. But Hebrews 12:6 reminds us: “The Lord disciplines those He loves.”

Abba’s correction is never cruel—it’s careful.

He trims away what will hurt you, to make space for what will grow you.

It’s not rejection—it’s redirection from a loving Father who sees your future.

He Will Never Leave You

Maybe your earthly father wasn’t there, maybe he couldn’t be, maybe is no more. Or maybe he caused wounds that still ache.

But Abba Father never leaves. “I will never leave you nor forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5).

He is, as Psalm 68:5 says, “a Father to the fatherless.”

He stays. In your silence, in your mess, in your worst days—He stays.

This Father’s Day, Let Us Remember...

When all is quiet and your heart is unsure, when no one else seems to understand—Abba Father does.

He’s not waiting for perfection. He’s simply waiting for you to rest in the truth:

You are His and He is yours. And no matter where you are or what you've done, His Love never runs out.

Prayer:

Abba Father, with hearts full of awe, we thank You for being our anchor in every storm, our joy in every season, and our hope in every trial.

You have loved us unconditionally, carried us through our darkest valleys, and called us Your own.

On this Father’s Day, we honour You—not just as God, but as the perfect Father our souls long for, now and forever.
