Mumbai, January 10, 2025: A new podcast, Don Bosco in a Year, was launched on January 1, 2025, to honor the legacy of St. John Bosco and share his inspiring story with a global audience. Based on the book 365 Days with Don Bosco by Fr. Anthony Christy SDB, the podcast releases daily episodes throughout the year, available on Spotify and YouTube under the channel ‘All things Don Bosco.’
In an interview with Catholic Connect, Br. Melton Suares SDB, the initiator and the main coordinator for this podcast, stated, “I approached several young people to lend their voices for this. The podcast offers profound insights into the life of Don Bosco, aiming to inspire hope and demonstrate that today's youth can pursue their dreams and live life to the fullest in alignment with God's plan.”
The podcast, featuring 365 episodes, stems from Don Bosco’s first dream, highlighting the Salesian commitment to spreading his teachings through modern platforms.
“The Don Bosco in a Year podcast has been a blessing to me! It’s been my companion on walks and my partner while travelling back home... I feel like I'm a part of Don Bosco's life, as though he's my friend in real time, and I absolutely love listening to him. Narrated by different youngsters, he is indeed a father & friend of the youth,” shared Angela Fernandes, a dedicated podcast listener.
Listeners can expect a variety of stories and reflections that connect Don Bosco’s journey with contemporary challenges and opportunities. This project not only serves as a tribute to his enduring legacy but also keeps his spirit alive, inspiring generations to live by his values and vision.
