Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, February 5, 2025 – The Conference of Religious of India (CRI), Jabalpur Unit celebrated the Day of Consecrated Life on February 2nd at St. Norbert Abbey, Jabalpur. The event brought together consecrated individuals from across the region for a day of reflection, renewal, and fellowship, centered on the theme of hope.
The celebrations began with an inauguration ceremony, setting the stage for a day focused on the theme of hope. Fr. Jose Mathew SDB led a thought-provoking session on "The Pilgrimage of Hope," exploring how consecrated individuals can be beacons of hope within their communities and for the people of God. Participants engaged in lively group discussions, sharing insights on fostering hope within themselves and inspiring it in others, strengthening the bonds of brotherhood and shared purpose. Rev. Sr. Ancy, provincial of the Nirmal province of St. Joseph Sisters, graced the event.
A solemn and meaningful Eucharistic celebration followed at St. Norbert Abbey Church. Rt. Rev. Abbot Arul Amalraj O.Praem presided over the Mass, which saw a procession of candle-lit participants. A highlight of the service was the common renewal of vows by the consecrated individuals, reaffirming their commitment to their calling.
The day culminated in a joyful festival meal, where attendees shared in the spirit of community and celebrated their shared vocation. The event proved to be a memorable occasion for the entire CRI Jabalpur Unit.
The CRI-Diocese of Jabalpur expressed their gratitude to Most. Rev. Bishop Valan Arasu for his support and blessings, which contributed to the success of the celebration.
