Jaipur, November 19, 2025: Bishop Emeritus Oswald Lewis of Jaipur encouraged children to strive for holiness, drawing inspiration from St Maria Goretti, during a homily at the Joyfest 2025 celebrations. The event, held at St Teresa's School, Mansarovar, brought together around 250 children and their animators from ten parishes across the Diocese of Jaipur.
Addressing the children, Bishop Lewis emphasized the importance of faith and integrity, reminding parents of their crucial role in guiding their children along a path of spiritual growth. The Bishop's words were part of the day's festivities, which included competitions, games, and fellowship activities designed to nurture young Catholics in faith and values.
The celebrations featured a tableau competition on the theme of Faith, Joy, and Unity, as well as a dance competition on the theme of Gospel. St Xavier's Church (C-Scheme) emerged as winners in both competitions, showcasing their talent and creativity.
The event concluded with a group photograph and a fellowship meal, reinforcing the spirit of unity and joy that defined the day.
