Durg, Chhattisgarh, July 28, 2025 – Bail application could not be filed for the two Catholic nuns detained in Durg on charges of alleged human trafficking and forced religious conversion, as key documents from the families of the three tribal girls involved were not submitted on time.
Although the girls' parents had earlier provided written consent and identification, officials stated that specific documents required for the bail process were still pending. The delay forced legal representatives to postpone filing the bail application today.
Efforts are underway to obtain and submit the remaining paperwork.
