Archdiocese of Bhopal Honours 36 Jubilarians at Christmas Gathering

Bhopal, 3 January 2026 — A spirit of thanksgiving and celebration marked the Christmas season as priests, religious, and faithful gathered to honour 36 jubilarians who have devoted decades of their lives to the service of the Church, celebrating milestones of faithful commitment and vocation.

The event was centred on a Holy Mass celebrated at the Our Lady of Assumption Co-Cathedral, where priests, religious brothers and sisters, and members of the faithful assembled in a spirit of thanksgiving and communion. Special prayers were offered for 36 jubilarians who marked Diamond, Ruby, Golden, and Silver jubilees, acknowledging their long and faithful commitment to pastoral and religious ministry.

The celebration highlighted the enduring gift of vocation within the Archdiocese and the role of committed service in strengthening the life of the Church. The atmosphere throughout the gathering reflected joy, fraternity, and deep appreciation for lives spent in service to God and His people.

Archbishop Durairaj presided over the liturgy and addressed the assembly, expressing gratitude to the jubilarians for their perseverance, witness of faith, and contribution to the mission of the Church. He encouraged younger members of the clergy and religious to draw inspiration from the example set by those being honoured.

The gathering concluded with Christmas greetings and moments of fraternal fellowship, reinforcing unity within the Archdiocesan family. The Archdiocese prayed that the jubilarians may continue to be blessed with health, peace, and joy, affirming that lives rooted in Christ and dedicated to service remain a blessing to both Church and society.
