Rayagada, Odisha, May 24, 2025: Over 50 youth belonging to the parish of Queen of the Mission Cathedral, Rayagada, participated in a two-day spiritual programme titled "Spiritual Recharge", which was held from May 22 to 23 at the cathedral premises. The event aimed to reconnect the young participants with their faith through prayer, learning, and fellowship.
The programme, organised by the parish which falls under the Rayagada Diocese, focused on helping the youth reconnect with their spiritual roots, strengthen their relationship with God, and empower them to live out their faith in today’s world.
Fr. Kumud Badseth served as the primary resource person for the event. During the two days of the programme, he delivered engaging sessions on the importance of faith in daily life, the role of youth in the Church, and how to stay spiritually grounded amidst worldly distractions.
Supporting sessions were conducted by Rev. Fr. Abed Kumar Khura, Parish Priest, and Fr. John Umakant, Assistant Parish Priest. In their respective sessions, both encouraged the youth to embrace prayer, service, and leadership as essential values for youth within the Church and the broader community.
Activities throughout the two days included Holy Mass, adoration, praise and worship, group discussions, and team-building exercises — all designed to inspire spiritual renewal and foster a strong sense of community among participants.
The programme concluded with parish leaders extending their gratitude to the clergy, coordinators, and volunteers for all their efforts that contributed to the success of the event. The youth left the event spiritually rejuvenated and motivated to integrate their faith into everyday life.
