Salesian Media Ministry Hosts Online Session on Jubilee of Communication

Mumbai, March 13, 2025 - The Salesian Media Ministry organized a thought-provoking online session titled "Reflection Sharing and Discussion on the Jubilee of Communication" on March 8, 2025, as part of Luminata 2025—Celebrating Communication.


The event brought together BOSCOM General Body Members, Media Animators, Salesian Family In-charges, and Advisors and Collaborators in the Salesian Media Ministry to discuss the evolving role of communication in modern society.


Fr. Thomas Antony Raj, Director of Media and Communications for the Diocese of Jabalpur, delivered a compelling keynote presentation on "Jubilee of Communication: Disarming, Informing, Sharing Hope." He emphasized the need for integrity, transparency, and a commitment to truth in media practices, highlighting the transformative power of communication in combating misinformation and fostering ethical discourse.


The session featured an engaging Q&A session, a group discussion on media ethics and responsibility, and a felicitation ceremony, where Sr. Theresa was presented with the Golden Book Award.


The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Fr. Joyston Machado SDB, who extended appreciation to all attendees and contributors for making the event a success. The session reaffirmed a collective commitment to strengthening Salesian media initiatives, ensuring that communication continues to bridge divides, promote faith, and uphold truth and hope in an ever-evolving digital landscape.
