Bishop of Srikakulam Diocese Leads Delegation to Rome for Jubilee of Priests

Rome, June 26, 2025: Bishop Rayarala Vijay Kumar of the Diocese of Srikakulam in Andhra Pradesh is currently in Rome leading a delegation of priests from his diocese to participate in the Jubilee for Priests, being held from June 25 to 27 as part of the 2025 Jubilee Year. 

Before the main events of the jubilee, Bishop Rayarala, who is a member of the Pontifical Institute for Foreign Missions (PIME), led the group in a visit to the Italian Bishops' Conference (CEI), where they met Fr. Gabriele, the director of CEI, and discussed ongoing missionary support and collaborations.

They also visited the Offices of Propaganda Fide, officially known as the Sacred Congregation for the Propagation of the Faith. It is a department within the Roman Curia, and its main function is to oversee and coordinate missionary work and related activities across the globe. At present, it is part of the Dicastery for Evangelisation, which was established as part of Pope Francis’ reform of the Roman Curia.
