National Leaders of Young Catholic Students and Young Students Movement Convene in Nagpur

Nagpur, February 19, 2025: Young Catholic Students and Young Students Movement, India, held its National Team-Executive Committee (NT-EXCO) meeting at the Pallottine Animation Centre, Nagpur, from February 15th to 17th, 2025.


The Regional Youth Directors (RYDs) of ten regions, along with the national team and animators, had a fruitful discussion, evaluating the movement's growth and discussing strategies for its expansion in the regions. The National Chaplain of YCS YSM India, Rev. Fr. Chetan Machado, moderated the discussion and shared his thoughts.


Mr. Anson Nazareth, the National President of YCS YSM India, presented the annual report of the activities conducted by the movement at the national level.


On February 17th, the convention poster for the 4th National YCS YSM Convention was launched by the Chairman Bishop of the CCBI Youth Commission, Most Rev. Dr. Ignatius D'Souza. Present at the launch were the National Chaplain, Rev. Fr. Chetan Machado; the Associate Secretary to the CCBI Youth Commission, Rev. Fr. Dominic Pinto; former National and International YCS Chaplain, Rev. Fr. Charles Menezes; National President, Mr. Anson Nazareth; National team member, Ms. Sakshi Toppo; CCBI Youth Commission Council member and former National President, Mr. Jimmy Pdang; and former NEXCO member, Mr. Melwyn.


The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the growth and expansion of the movement and to plan upcoming initiatives by evaluating past activities. The ICYM National Council and the CCBI Youth Council were also held simultaneously during these days, providing an opportunity for collaboration and strategic planning.


The NT-EXCO meeting reinforced YCS YSM’s commitment to growth and student empowerment. With a focus on self-change and societal transformation, the movement continues to inspire young minds across India.
