About the MSFS Congregation

The Missionaries of St. Francis de Sales (MSFS), also known as the Fransalians, was founded on October 24, 1838, in Annecy, France, by Servant of God Fr. Peter Marie Mermier, under the Patronage of St. Francis de Sales. The Congregation was established in response to St. Francis de Sales' vision of forming a society of missionary priests dedicated to evangelisation, education, and pastoral care. Over the years, the Fransalians have expanded their mission across the world, continuing their founder’s zeal and commitment in spreading the Gospel and serving communities in need according to the signs of the times.
