Ernakulam, Kerala, August 5, 2025 – Marking five decades of unwavering spiritual commitment and youth leadership, the KCYM (Kerala Catholic Youth Movement) Ponel Unit at St. Francis Xavier Church, Ponel (under the Archdiocese of Verapoly), officially launched its Golden Jubilee celebrations with the unveiling of its Jubilee logo. The occasion brought together members of the unit in a spirit of devotion and enthusiasm as they reflected on the legacy built since its founding in 1975.
As part of the inaugural ceremony, the Golden Jubilee logo was unveiled by His Grace Dr. Joseph Kalathiparambil, Metropolitan Archbishop of Verapoly, underscoring the ecclesial significance of the milestone.
The event was presided over by KCYM Ponel Unit President Joyana Thomas John, with Fr. Antony Bibu Kadamparambil, Vicar of Ponel Parish, delivering the introductory address. Secretary Hridhya Rose, along with executive members Antony Vimal Benito, Thomas Benhur Joshy, and Ashna Josephena, were also present, symbolising the strong leadership guiding the unit forward.
For the past 50 years, the KCYM Ponel Unit has remained a front-runner in fostering youth formation and driving social transformation through faith-based service and community engagement.
