Faith and Fellowship Shine at Jesus Youth 30th Anniversary

Hyderabad, September 14, 2025 – The Jesus Youth movement in the Telugu region concluded its 30th anniversary celebrations with a vibrant two-day event, Veduka, held at St. Francis Girls’ High School, Secunderabad, in the Archdiocese of Hyderabad.

The milestone gathering brought together hundreds of young people, leaders, and well-wishers from across the region. The programme featured lively liturgies, cultural performances, and heartfelt moments of thanksgiving, capturing the spirit of the movement’s mission of evangelisation, youth empowerment, and community building.

The concluding Holy Mass was solemnly presided over by Rayarala Vijay Kumar PIME, Bishop of Srikakulam. He was joined by several priests, including Fr. Das Vignan, Fr. Gupta (Youth Director of Srikakulam), Fr. Justin (Dhisha Director), Fr. James (Procurator), and Fr. Kranthi, along with other concelebrants. Their presence underscored the deep ties between the clergy and the youth movement.

Behind the scenes, the event was organised by the Jesus Youth core team with strong support from the Youth President and regional leaders. Special recognition was given to Uday, Raju (Youth President), Vinay, Sudheer, Priyanka, and Prashanth, whose efforts, alongside those of many dedicated members, ensured the anniversary celebrations were both spiritually enriching and memorable.

The gathering not only commemorated three decades of Jesus Youth’s presence in the Telugu region but also highlighted its enduring commitment to nurturing faith among young people. Through its outreach, the movement has consistently encouraged youth to live as missionary disciples, fostering fellowship and service in today’s world.

As the celebrations drew to a close, participants expressed gratitude and joy while renewing their commitment to continue the journey of faith. With renewed energy and vision, Jesus Youth looks ahead to building on its legacy and inspiring the next generation to embrace the Gospel with courage and conviction.
