Doigrong, Assam, August 27, 2025: A Career Guidance Programme was organised on 27 August 2025 at Doigrong Parish Church as part of the Parish Youth Divas celebrations. The event brought together enthusiastic parish youth and students to explore educational and professional opportunities while deepening their faith and motivation.
The Mass was celebrated by Fr. John Minj, Diocesan Youth Director (DYD) of Dibrugarh Diocese. In his homily, Fr. Minj encouraged the young people to walk in faith, remain focused, and strive to be agents of positive change in society. He highlighted the importance of the words “ask, seek, and knock,” urging the youth to lead meaningful lives rooted in purpose.
A special moment during the celebration was the felicitation of students from the parish who had successfully cleared their HSLC and HS examinations. Each student was congratulated and presented with a token of appreciation in recognition of their dedication and achievements.
The Career Guidance session, led by Mrs. Catherin Kujur, Vice Principal of Numaligarh Nursing School, provided insightful direction on careers in the health and nursing sector. She encouraged students to consider the noble and service-oriented profession of caregiving.
Fr. Minj also addressed the gathering during the session, outlining various career paths, the importance of skill development, and the role of discipline and faith in reaching one’s goals. His message motivated the youth to reflect on their strengths and make thoughtful decisions for the future.
Parents, youth, and parishioners expressed their appreciation for the timely and impactful initiative, recognising its role in guiding the younger generation towards purposeful living.
