Annual Clergy Retreat Strengthens Priestly Fraternity and Prayer Life in Jaipur

Jaipur, October 28, 2025 — The Diocese of Jaipur concluded its Annual Clergy Retreat 2025 at the Gyandeep Bhawan Pastoral Centre, offering diocesan priests six days of spiritual renewal from October 19 to 24 under the theme “To Be Reunited in Christ.”

The retreat was preached by Fr. Bineesh John, O.P., Director of Satyagiri Dominican Retreat Centre, Nashik, who guided the priests through reflections on Eucharistic spirituality, inner stillness, simplicity of life and Marian devotion. Emphasising the need to remain rooted in silence amid modern noise and distraction, he invited the clergy to rediscover strength in the Eucharist, the Word of God, and the Rosary as the daily sources of priestly grace.

Moments of prayer, fraternity and personal reflection allowed the clergy to step away from pastoral busyness and deepen their communion with Christ and one another. The retreat provided time for sacramental healing, Eucharistic adoration and shared spiritual conversation that strengthened priestly brotherhood.

Reflecting on the retreat, Bishop Joseph Kallarackal of Jaipur remarked, “The retreat reminded us that ministry begins at the altar, not in the office,” affirming the Eucharist as the heart of priestly mission.
