Akhand Mala Vinti Brings Youth Together in Alambagh, Lucknow

Lucknow, September 9, 2025 – The Lucknow Diocesan Youth Commission organised the Akhand Mala Vinti at Holy Redeemer Church, Alambagh, with devotion and enthusiasm. The event saw the active participation of more than 50 youth and parishioners from various parishes.

The programme commenced with a Walking Rosary, led by the youth of Holy Redeemer Church under the guidance of Fr. Anup Emmanuel Lakra, together with the PEXCO members of the parish. This was followed by Praise and Worship, animated by the DEXCO team, who guided the congregation to experience God’s presence in their hearts and minds.

Youth representatives from different parishes led the Novena prayers dedicated to Mother Mary, offering moments of reflection and unity in prayer. The choir enhanced the devotion of the gathering through melodious hymns, creating a deeply prayerful atmosphere within the church.

In his homily, Fr. Dominic Pinto, Diocesan Youth Director, reflected on the devotion to Mary, Undoer of Knots. He encouraged the faithful to entrust their struggles, challenges, and difficulties to the intercession of Mother Mary, who, with grace and love, unties the knots of life.

The DEXCO team played a vital role in ensuring the smooth coordination of the event. Their wholehearted dedication and teamwork, combined with the collective involvement of the youth and parishioners, made the celebration spiritually enriching and memorable.

The gathering concluded with a final blessing from Fr. Dominic Pinto. This was followed by a heartfelt Vote of Thanks delivered by Fr. Anup Emmanuel Lakra, Assistant Diocesan Youth Director, who expressed gratitude to the Parish Priest of Holy Redeemer Church, Fr. Gerald Lobo, the DEXCO members, and all the faithful who contributed to the success of the occasion.

The Akhand Mala Vinti not only strengthened devotion to Mother Mary but also brought together young people in an atmosphere of faith, prayer, and service. It served as a reminder of the role of the youth in nurturing the spiritual life of the Church and highlighted the importance of unity in building a vibrant faith community.
