Third Phase of the Subhiksham Project led by KCYM Archdiocese of Verapoly, launched in Ernakulam

Ernakulam, 3 June, 2025: The third phase of the Subhiksham project, an initiative by the Kerala Catholic Youth Movement (KCYM) Archdiocese of Verapoly to support the destitute, was inaugurated on Sunday, June 1, at St. Francis Assisi Cathedral Church, Ernakulam. MLA of Ernakulam, Shri. T.J. Vinod, and Cathedral Assistant Vicar Fr. Roshen Raphael Neyssery officially launched the event by handing over food kits to beneficiaries.


KCYM Archdiocese of Verapoly President Rajeev Patric presided over the function, while Director Fr. Raphael Shinoj Arancherry delivered the keynote address. The event was attended by Cathedral Central Committee Leader Antony Louis, Secretary Ben Paul, KCYM Treasurer Joyson P.J., Secretary Ferdin Francis, and Cathedral–Thykoodam Regional Vice President Amala Rose K.J., along with office bearers from the Cathedral and Edavanakkad units of the Kerala Catholic Youth Movement.


As part of this phase, a total of 500 kilograms of rice was distributed to the homeless and needy across various colonies in Ernakulam city, reinforcing KCYM’s continued commitment to social welfare and community service.


The Subhiksham project, launched by the KCYM Archdiocese of Verapoly, aims to provide food assistance to underprivileged communities, with each phase building on the success of the last to broaden its impact.
