VATICAN CITY, March 13, 2025: Pope Francis spent a restful night at Rome’s Gemelli Hospital, according to a statement released by the Holy See Press Office on Thursday morning.
This latest update follows a statement issued by the Press Office on Wednesday night, which confirmed that the 87-year-old pontiff’s condition remains stable with slight improvements. The statement noted that a chest X-ray performed on the Pope on Tuesday confirmed improvements observed in his health in previous days. The statement also added that the Pope continues to receive high-flow oxygen therapy during the day and non-invasive mechanical ventilation overnight.
Pope Francis was admitted to Gemelli Hospital on February 14 after experiencing respiratory difficulties. While his condition requires ongoing monitoring, his medical team remains optimistic about his recovery. Another update on the health of the pope is expected on Thursday evening.
