New Block Inaugurated at St. Joseph’s Primary & Higher Primary School, Chikkamagaluru

Chikkamagaluru, April 11, 2025 – St. Joseph’s Educational Society (SJES), Chikkamagaluru, inaugurated a new block at St. Joseph’s Primary & Higher Primary School in Jyothinagar, Chikkamagaluru, on Thursday, April 10, 2025. The event, held to bless and open the new school facility, was attended by key dignitaries, clergy from the diocese, school staff, students, and well-wishers.

Most Rev. Dr. T. Anthony Swamy, Bishop of Chikkamagaluru and President of SJES, led the solemn blessing and inauguration ceremony. In his address, he lauded the management and staff of the school for their unwavering efforts and emphasised that education should nurture both intellect and character.

The inauguration was attended by SJES Governing Board members, including Mr. Michael Baptist, who addressed the gathering with a message of hope and progress. He underscored the importance of the new block of the school and expressed optimism for the institution’s future.

A notable highlight of the event was the heartfelt felicitation of Rev. Fr. Marcel Pinto, Secretary of SJES. He was honoured for his leadership, dedication, and pivotal role in realising the project, which transformed a shared vision into a tangible space for education. The SJES Governing Board also expressed gratitude by honouring all individuals and teams whose expertise and hard work contributed to the successful completion of the new block.

The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks and a fellowship meal, bringing together the school’s leadership, members of the school's Parent-Teacher Association, students, and supporters.

The inauguration of the new block of the school was not just the opening of a new building—it stood as a symbol of unity, dedication, and the shared mission of shaping future generations.
