Leadership in Family Ministry Training Begins at Peyton Institute for Families

Bangalore, 3 June, 2025: The month-long Leadership in Family Ministry training programme commenced on 2 June 2025 with a solemn inaugural Eucharistic celebration, presided over by Auxiliary Bishop Susai Nathan of the Archdiocese of Bangalore. The celebration marked the spiritual beginning of a formative journey for 20 dedicated participants from across India.


This intensive training, running from 2 to 21 June, is designed to strengthen the Church’s mission of accompanying families within today’s complex pastoral landscape. The programme aims to equip participants with essential competencies in:


- Pastoral Counselling Skills

- Marriage Preparation and Formation

- Post-Marriage Accompaniment

- Catechumenal Pathways for Married Life

- Synodal Approach to Family Ministry

- Parenting

- Developing a Contextual Pastoral Plan


The training reflects the Church’s commitment to nurturing lay and clergy leaders who can respond effectively to the evolving needs of families, grounded in Gospel values and a synodal vision.


The programme facilitators are Fr. MC Abraham, Fr. Arul Raj Gali, Fr. Shiju Joseph, Fr. Sunny Richard, Ms. Jayashree, and Mr. Raja Shanmugam.
