Bengaluru, 16 April, 2025 – The National Youth Commission of the Conference of Catholic Bishops of India (CCBI) has officially announced the eighth edition of its Animators and Chaplains Training Programme (ACT-8), set to take place from 2 to 14 June 2025 at NBCLC, Bengaluru.
Organised annually, ACT-8 aims to equip youth leaders, lay and lady animators, and newly appointed youth secretaries with the knowledge and tools needed for effective youth ministry. The intensive course focuses on building leadership, strengthening faith-based engagement, and empowering young people to be proactive agents of change within their communities.
Fr. Chetan Machado, Secretary of the CCBI Youth Commission, extended greetings and called on Regional and Diocesan Youth Directors to nominate suitable candidates. “This programme is designed to animate and coordinate the Catholic youth movement and to promote a vibrant youth ministry at all levels,” he stated.
The training is open exclusively to Youth Secretaries and Animators. With only 50 to 60 seats available, registration will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. The registration deadline is 5 May 2025.
The registration fee is set at Rs 9000 per participant, with a subsidised rate of Rs 8000 for lay animators. Interested individuals are encouraged to act promptly to secure their place.
